MJR Homecoming cum Farewell 2008 -15th Nov 2008

Last Sat was pretty a hectic week for me. As per above subject, my former secondary school will be relocationg to it's new site, Ubi Ave 1 from 2009 onwards. So the school alumni association hosted the homecoming cum farewell on the old campus which was located in Sim drive. As i am part of the alumni, i had to help to co-organise.

The committee members reached as early as 12noon to make sure that all things were set up without any hiccups. I was late as i had to send Ryan to mum's place then accompany HC to see a bone setter.. That fella sprain his leg ankle on Friday.. After which he drove me to the school. I reached at 1pm.. most things were nicely set up... so at 2pm ex manjusrians streamed in one by one.. some came in groups, some with spouses and kids... We have seen so many batches graduated and even the ex and current teachers joined in. The response were over-whelming... The principals were glad.. so were we! Finally the event started... It was a simple yet meaningful event. The whole event closed up with 2 buses catering ex-students to the new campus for a tour. Most of the committee members stayed back to tied up loose ends... and of course took some final pics of the school.

Manjusri, being the only buddhist secondary school in Singapore. What can i say about it. I had spent a good 5 years there. I made lifelong friends there.. She had seen me grown over the years and without the guidances and encouragements from the teachers, i wont be what i am now. Though i may not hold successful careers like others, i have learnt to be responsible and live with intergrity. Thank You Manjusri, i will miss you at the old campus. With metta... Peace!
