HAPPY 30th BIRTHDAY, HUBBY

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUBBY! Today marks your 30th birthday... Entering another stage of your life. Time to change your IC!!! hahaha...

Well, as mentioned in my previous post, our day started quite early. Hc had to go back to work to truck a big container. he left the house at 645am. While Ryan was still in his lala land. I woke up at 7am to prepare myself and by the time i am ready, my prince just got up! Timing was just nice.

Got Ryan ready then we set off at 930am to meet hubby at his work place. He had his shower there and off we go to Leng Kee, Mitsitbishi Car Serving centre. Time for his car servicing and he requested for some additional services for his car.. $$ fly again.. After that the service guy drove us to Queenstown MRT station and we took a train down to ICA building to re-register our IC. Yes, Missy me also just entered another stage of my life.. Lucky Q was not long. We took our IC pics and went off to Q for our registration. Waited for 10mins then our number was called. We were told that we can collect our IC on the same day... HC was pleased as his new IC's issue date will reflect as 25 Feb 09... *Grins* Proceed on to the waiting area as we were told to wait for 1/2 hr. Before we could sit and read our papers, our names were called for collection.. Isnt it fast??
After collection, we left ICA we walked up to a coffeeshop for lunch. Ryan finished half the plate. guess he must be hungry. haha.. Then off we went to the MRT and headed to Bugis. 1st time after married life we went there as a family.. As HC seldom frequent such place due to the carpark and traffic.. So today was so exceptional! Walked around Bugis. We cant shop long as our terror king just want to roam around. Haiz... So we quickly proceed to Burlington Square to collect our free gift, 22" Samsung Tv. After collection, hail a cab and headed home.

For now, Home sweet home. Ryan is sleeping. While HC is doing the TV channel adjusting. Me? Updating and will go pick up our car later before we go for our noce dinner..

HAPPY 4th ROM ANNIVERSARY

Today marks our 4th ROM anniversary. Time flies... No special celebrations for tonight.. will postpone till 25th Feb.. as it's HC's 30 birthday! One stone kill two birds... Hahaha...

Ryan's progress in school

2nd week of the month. Let's do a review on how Ryan has been coping.

1st week: 1st 3 days ok. 4th and 5th day= disaster=shocked

2nd week: Wrote to his teacher and gave instructions that mil will send him to school at 9am and pick him up at 12noon. For a start and to regain his self confidence all over again. So far comments from teachers are he is doing fine. Just that when mil send him there, the departing part, the teachers will distract him for mil's exit. Cant let him see.. if not he will start to make noise. I am glad that Ryan is doing well, improving each day.. as far as the teacher's feedback.

As for mil's feedback.. i am sian. I thank her for taking the time and effort to send Ryan to school. Of course, i know she wants the best for him. So feedback from her was undesirable. She will comment that the teachers doesnt know how to comfort a wailing child, not very professional etc.. So every morning, after mil send Ryan to school, she will call me and tell me that she is outside peeping Ryan and could hear him crying searching for ah ma. Is it true anot, i am not sure. So she will want me to call the school to check Ryan out; which i will say ok but i didnt call.

In my point of perspective, if i were to place my child there, i will have to trust the school and the staffs there. I am sure they will not leave a crying child unattended. That's my belief and i believe my boy will make it!

Pre-Birthday Celebrations - 13.02.09

Yesterday was Friday the 13th. So how's everyone's Friday? Was it a good one or a black one?

Mine was pretty ok. Nothing much.

I left office on the dot as i had to meet up with my old school mates for a meeting (alumni meeting) at a friend's place at Rio Vista function room. Brought Ryan along. He has been an enclosed "cage bird" for the past two weeks. Went there, he was quite shy, not ready to warm up with them. So we sat on the sofa while i fed him with bee hoon and fish balls. Not long after, he is ok and started walking around the room. I am glad. He has been quite sticky glue to mil and me recently. Abit will eh eh and cry.. Sometimes with or without tears... Had a short meeting to fill up some forms as our association shifted.

After that, i am surprised with a birthday cake! My friends celebrated my bday for me. I am surprised! Thanks everyone.

Cranky Ryan

Supposed to meet bestest friends for dinner last night. All set to go when Ryan dun feel well. He has been cranky since thurs night.. I find it strange too. He refused to sleep.. Keep pointing to the door.. and wanting me to bring him out. So i did. went downstairs and waited for his daddy to come. Daddy stopped by the road side and i hop in.. He was in smiles.. but that was not long. He just made noise all the way, refused to sleep till 1am plus before he really surrender to his lala land..

I had no choice but to cancel my dinner with the girls. I am disappointed. He was so clingy to me.. Refused anyone who went near him. He didnt even allow his daddy to touch me... I am not sure if my instinct is true. Hope he gets over this transistion period.. We will get there...

Ryan's 3rd day in school

Send him in early today at 840am. Trying to make him adjust to our time so that we can send him to school.

The kids are singing and dancing already.. Then follow by singing the national anthem and pledge. The K1 and K2 will go for the swimming class. While the N1, N2 and BB class will get ready for outdoor play.

I stayed with him till about 930am.. before his class teacher, Eileen came and took over trying to distract him. Then i left the centre. Standing away from the school compound, i am looking out for him.. Teacher Eileen gave a "OK" sign, then i left. Called HC and told him. He was worried about his precious. Nevertheless, he mentioned, "our boy has to grow"!

To be honest, i left with a heavy heart. Not knowing how Ryan will behave and searching for me when i am not there. Not knowing how will he cope without me??? I guess this is part and parcel of his life. I am confident that he will grow to be a independent boy.

Way to go Ryan!!!!

Ryan goes to school - 02.02.09

Feeling excited for him today. It's his first day in school. He woke up around 730am.. Make him milk, brush his teeth and put on his uniform for him.

Brought him to school at around 9am. By the time we reach there, the kids were getting ready for free play. Morining routine, take his temperature, body check and log in his attendance.

I was with Ryan thru out his stay there. So before the kids come out for their play, the teachers will light the mossies smoke to ventilate the compound. The kids will 'Q" to have the repellent spray on their hands and legs. After which the kids will put on their shoes and sit in the waiting area. Do exercise then off to playground. Some play balls, cars, water, slide and swing.. Oh mind.. the kids are so lucky... haha...

After the 1hr of free play, they have to go inside to wash hands then proceed to their respective class to drink water.. Sounds like water parade in the army... haha.. Ryan followed thru though he will sit with me. In his class, there are 5 toddlers. He is the 2nd youngest.

After the "water parade", the chinese teacher, Lin lao shi will come in for her lesson. Ryan had his first colouring done today. Not very attentive. Keep wanting to move around and play with a mei mei named Ezanne. Cute chubby baby!

By 1130am.. they have to "Q" to wash hands again. Lunch time. Had rice with sardine and veggies. He self feed himself. Eat till quite messy. Had apples as fruits. After lunch is shower time. All the kids had to take their own bag to the toilet where the teacher will place stools for them to sit. The girls had their shower first, follow by Ryan. After shower, went back to class.. and play.

That's Ryan's first day in school. Brough him home at 1230pm. Not to freak him out.. So over all, i can say that he had fun. No crying. Came home, play his car for a while then KO straight.. He is so tired.. and off to work i go.
